We came across Rajas con Crema, and this place is cozy, family oriented, and the food really hit the spot! I recommend this place to all, if you are into real Mexican cuisine! The plates that we tried were delicious! Patrons were very friendly and recommended the plates for us to be surprised! But you have to try the Main dish; Rajas con Crema! Great flavor and consistency!

This place should be the poster child, for hole in the wall.. a gem and a priceless one at that. Great staff, first class food, and in a place where you would least suspect it!!! It's weird what it's trying to be, maybe a Mexican/Italian fusion mixing some of the best of both worlds - cheeses/sauces- that makes dishes that are common into something that seems more elevated. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Despite reading some negative reviews from a long time back, I took the gamble of visiting this restaurant and giving it a chance. This was my experience. Service was excellent, food came out quick despite attending a big party of 9 that was a birthday.

If you're looking for somewhere tasteful, cozy and welcoming that will provide you with quality delicious food and excellent customer service. Look no further if you live or are visiting the South East area in the city of Maywood.

This is my 2nd time visiting this overlooked hidden gem; which I still can't believe it's been here since 2019 and stopped by until now. I have NO regrets visiting and dining at "Rajas con Crema".

This restaurant was welcoming, cozy, ambiance was delightful, customer service was on point!. Thank you for the awesome experience Javier and Staff.

On my first visit, I had their rib eye steak and garlic shrimp with seasoned veggies and mashed potatoes, and delicious warm soft toasted bolillo bread. Also had their (Mollete) which was soft, beans were very homely made and chorizo sprinkled throughout.

Today's visit, I came for breakfast and had their steak and eggs, Cafe de ollá and my partner ordered chilaquiles con carnitas. Both dishes were exquisite, Cafe de Ollá was delicious, customer service was awesome with attention to customer.

I am definitely coming back, not overhyping anything but, usually it's not common or typical to visit a restaurant and have a great all around experience in customer service and food quality tastiness .

If you're in the area, definitely check this hidden gem out and give them a try, and try their various dishes, no regrets!. ?

Rajas con Crema is a gem in Maywood. It’s the cutest cozy restaurant. For the past few years I’ve come here often for lunch and never once was disappointed by the quality of food or service. The food is delicious, and they have daily lunch specials. They also have the best margaritas in all of LA, my favorites are the tamarind and mango margaritas, fresh & delicious. The best part of coming here is supporting a great small family owned business.

Nice restaurant in the city of Maywood. (not sure if they have rear parking spaces). Friendly server.
We ordered the queso fundido w/ chorizó as an appetizer. Chicken mole enchiladas, Cajun pasta and ceviche.
-The mole enchiladas were good. Nothing special about the sauce though. I’ve had tastier mole but I still ate it. The lunch special came with 2 enchiladas and sides of rice and beans. The beans lacked flavor. Rice was ok.
- the Cajun pasta was good! Just enough sauce and chicken. It was a creamy lemony pepper sauce.
The Ceviche is not your typical ceviche. It was NOT lemony and when asked what type of ceviche it was, the server said “tropical.” Needless to say my friend didn’t enjoy it and sent it back.
I ordered an horchata, but had to exchange it for a coke. The horchata lacked the cinnamon flavor I enjoy and you can taste a lot of the rice.

I’m pretty sure they have other dishes that are way better than what we tasted but I’ll probably not be going back to find out… sorry

Me and my family came here for the first time. The food was amazing, the service great, it was quick to come and came warm and fresh. It’s a good atmosphere and all together amazing, 10/10 recommended.

Caught up with some friends and we all can't wait to come back! I had the enchiladas verdes and as you can see the food looked so delectable I forgot to take a picture until a few bites in! Javier and Alicia the owners provide quality services! This was a fine establishment and I recommend anyone come visit!

I love this place. The outside doesn't do justice to the look inside. You would never imagine how pretty and delish this place is. Family owned and ran. I've introduced this place to the locals that had no idea this was here. Some of them have tried to tell me there was no restaurant there (next to Ace Hardware).

They also serve Alcohol, have happy hour and home made Agua de ? and at times other fruits like ?

Have had many yummy dishes and have loved every single one, but yesterday we had the Carne en su Jugo, both of us LOVED it and last but not least, the Plátanos con Crema dessert is by far my fave from anywhere where I've had them before... Whenever in the area this is my lunch spot especially when taking a client along.

These pictures are from my first visit, I had to have the Rajas con Crema and yuuuup they live up to the name.

Sorry to the many other restaurants in the area that I have ghosted, but you can't blame me ?
