Dr. Rivera has turned a blind eye to the incompetence of his office staff. Nobody answers a phone there - no one calls you back, you have to fight to get a referral completed in a timely fashion, which leads to delay in your care, and that's with the help of the Patient Advocate for the bond clinic. You're treated like a beggar. Do yourself a favor and find a physician that actually cares about his/her patients, cause this one doesn't.

I have seen Ms. Hutchins for about a year now and have had the best care at every visit. In the past I have complained about being tired all the time and no other doctor could figure out why. She diagnosed me correctly the first time I saw her. Once I got started on treatment I felt like a new person almost immediately. She has compassion, listens, and will do whatever she needs to in order to make sure her patients have the best care possible.

A very able physician. Surrounded by an uncaring staff. Won't answer the phone, when they do, may put you on hold , may hang up on you.
For a calm office there is no excuse for poor customer service.
So, while a doctor may be excellent, you must deal with the office staff to get anything done.

Amazing how these ppl reach to a negative review. Always in denial.
I have changed Doctor.
The lesson should be...
Treat all contacts like they are the reason for being. All calls are important. All patients should be treated with respect , that does NOT HAPPEN AT DR. RIVERA.
Do yourself a favor , choose another health care provider.

Apathetic service staff.
Might be a great Dr., But , it's the office staff a patient deals with.
I understand busy, I understand understaffing.
I don't understand rudeness. When you put someone on indefinite hold, when you hang up, reflects on the entire staff.
Fortunately, there are many doctors in winter Haven, accepting patients. Oh, yeah, almost forgot,...
When I leave a recorded message , and No one calls back, the message is loud and clear," we have patients, we don't need you".
Got it .I don't need Dr. Rivera.

I have had a lot of Doctors in my life for the past 73 years, but none as caring & efficient as Dr. Juan Rivera. Several years ago he found that I had a-fib & constantly monitored it, even taking time to call me. Then several years ago I went to him with chest pain & he immediately called an ambulance & was in the o/r within an hour where a stint was installed in the left descending artery that saved my life. Being in law enforcement for 32 yrs I have worked with many doctors, but none finer than Dr. Rivera.

I have been seeing amber Hutchins and after bad experices with gessler it nice to have a Dr who cares , listens and finds solutions for your health problems. She makes herself avaliable to us anytime we need her or have a question. My entire family sees her . Thank you Amber for all your hard work and your ability to truly care for your patience.
